Our experience with the Vixen 2 Long
The Shogun team was immediately impressed by this air rifle. The fully black, tactical appearance is functionally considered - every detail serves a practical purpose. The aluminium handguard with integrated Arca-Swiss adapter feels solid and the reversible biathlon-style bolt system operates smoothly for both left- and right-handed shooters.
Technology, performance and variants
The Vixen 2 Long operates with a PCP system and has an almost doubled power plenum compared to the original model. This air-powered rifle features a 500mm fully shrouded CZ barrel for effective sound suppression, a single action trigger system, a steel frame and single shot loading system. The model is available in 4.5mm calibre with 32 joule power and 5.5mm calibre with 54 joule power. Use and operation
This PCP air rifle feels familiar from the very first moment. The textured pistol grip sits comfortably in the hand and the manual safety catch is intuitively positioned. The single shot system works reliably, whilst the clearly readable pressure gauge always provides insight into the remaining air pressure. The Weaver/Picatinny rail runs smoothly across the entire top for optimal mounting of optics.
