Ballistol honing oil
This honing oil is suitable for use with oil stones. It extends the life of the whetstone and increases the material removal rate. It binds the abraded steel and stone and makes for a uniform grinding action and a quieter process. Do not use with water stones, it will ruin them!
This oil is food-safe, odourless and tasteless, acid-free, protects against rust and does not resinify. It will not affect painted surfaces, metal, wood, rubber or plastics. It does not attack brass. Suitable for rustproof and rust-resistant steels.
User instructions: Remove the white screw cap (Picture 1) and replace with the black pointed screw cap (Picture 2). The screwing action causes a dosing tip under this screw cap to snap into the bottle opening (Picture 3) so that you can apply the honing oil in precise amounts.
