Tanto Lite, Outdoor Knife
Following the overwhelming success of the Pendleton Lite Hunter, Cold Steel has decided to make a more economical version of the incredibly popular Tanto series. It resemble its more expensive counterpart in many ways (with similar blade, guard and pommel) but feature a sub-zero cryo-quenched German 4116 stainless steel blade and a newly designed handle.
The handle is made in two parts. It features a polypropylene guard, pommel and core section which envelopes the knife's full tang. The core is then over-molded in a deeply checkered Kray-Ex™ for a non-slip grip that's easily cleaned with soap and water.
To carry your knife safely and conveniently in the field, Cold Steel is including a pouch-style versatile low-profile polymer sheath with integral belt loop that can be easily worn on your hip or tucked into your pack or tackle box.
German 4116 Stainless Steel
4116 is a fine-grained stainless steel from Germany often used in the pharmaceutical Industry and in high-end kitchen cutlery. Its carbon and chromium content is balanced for excellent corrosion resistance and strength. Capable of taking a very fine, sharp edge, it makes an excellent choice for outdoor hunting applications.
Cold Steel's 4116 stainless steel is sub-zero cryo-quenched for markedly increased strength, hardness and durability and superior edge-holding potential.
