Replica of a French dagger pistol from the 18th century. As the name implies, it is a dagger with a flintlock pistol mounted in its centre. This combination of dagger or knife and pocket pistol was back then already an oddity that was rather custom-made. In the Age of Sail, pistol daggers / pistol knives were used by naval forces and pirates alike. Their dual function as a firearm and an edged melee weapon made them particularly useful in close quarters combat.

The grip of this beautiful dagger / muzzleloader replica with boxlock flintlock mechanism is made of resin in ivory look. Except for the blade, hammer and trigger, all metal elements (pommel, shell guard and barrel) have an antiqued brass finish. The blunt blade shows dark accents that imitate signs of wears.

Our firearm replicas are solely intended for re-enactment and decorative purposes. Although the mechanism is fully articulated, this reproduction is not capable of firing.

A beautiful item for every collection and an indispensable accessory for re-enactors.
