The Schmeisser SM30 30mm Medium Weaver/Picatinny Mount can be attached to a Weaver/Picatinny rail using a quick-release (QD) mounting system consisting of two QD levers. It is precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum (hard, corrosion-resistant, low coefficient of thermal expansion) with a matte black MIL-A8625F-Type III anodizing finish.
Both rings of the Schmeisser SM30 30mm Medium Weaver/Picatinny mount are wide enough to provide a large clamping surface. This reduces the risk of over-tightening, which could distort the scope tube. Each of the mounting rings has six clamping screws, which are numbered so that they are tightened in the correct order. This also helps prevent tube deformation.
Threaded holes on the top and both sides of the mounting rings allow you to mount the included short Weaver/Picatinny rail using two torx screws.
