The design of the Blue River Knife by Condor is inspired by the Indians of North America. Although this fixed knife is visually very appealing and certainly has its charm as a collector's item, it was by no means designed as a "showcase keeper" and is perfectly suited for all kinds of outdoor, hunting and bushcraft applications.
The Full-Tang knife has a sharpened drop-point blade made of carbon steel 1095 - a strong steel with good sharpenability. It is provided with a Scandi sharpening, which is quite popular especially with bushcrafters, because it is very suitable for woodworking and allows easy re-sharpening even in the field. The blade still shows traces of forging, which give the knife a rustic look. Decorative filing work on the back completes the special look of the blade.
The walnut grip plates are attached to the handle with 3 pins. Especially beautiful are the handle inlays of reconstituted turquoise (pieces of turquoise sealed with synthetic resin), which should remind of the Blue River (a tributary of the Colorado) and give the outdoor knife its name. The tang protrudes approx. 5 mm from the handle and has a hole for the included leather lanyard with a large wooden bead.
A beautiful, handmade scabbard made of strong leather with belt loop (max. belt width approx. 6.5 cm), decorative buffalo hunting scene and colorful cloth band with Indian pattern is included.
Whether as a hunting knife, bushcraft knife or camping knife, the Blue River Knife is the ideal companion for a variety of outdoor activities and looks stylish and traditional at the same time.
